September 2022
Every child matters! On September 30th educators engaged in conversations about why we recognize National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Together, we remembered and honored the children and Indigenous communities affected by residential schools. We reflected on the loss of Indigenous culture and language, loss of freedom, as well as the painful experiences of abuse and neglect associated with residential schools.

February 2023
Students and educators had wonderful discussions about bullying and why we wear a pink shirt on anti-bullying day. Our friends reminisced about times they were bullied and how they felt when this happened. We also discussed what we can do to help friends who are being bullied. As Madeline said, “Be a upstander, not a bystander”.
