Child Care Fees

Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton are participants in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) System that helps reduce child care fees for children 0-6 years of age. In March 2022, the federal and provincial governments signed the CWELCC agreement aimed at making child care more affordable for families.

In accordance with the CWELLC agreement, the City of Hamilton’s Children and Community Services division works closely with all participating child care operators, including Umbrella Family, to set child care fees for children 0-6 years of age. As a parent or guardian of a child in this age group, you do not need to apply to get a fee reduction. Your fee will automatically be adjusted by Umbrella Family to reflect CWELCC.
